Leonore Grosch and Franziska Hoehl
There is a girl on a blanket in front of her tent, next to her her bike. A man in wide pants practices yoga. In the middle of this scene there is a sewing machine, sewing needles and a lot of material. This is how the hermitage looks like when Leonore Grosch is visiting. The puppet builder of Brandenburg builds bending dolls that she photographs in realistic situations and offers courses in the art of puppet building.
Leonore was accompanied by her friend Franziska Hoehl, biologist and nature educator, who planned two projects for her time at Rietzer Berg. Building a big doll for a theater actor and developing a nature educational program for schools. The latter will become a wonderful cooperation with Rietzer Berg which will be a place for local students to learn in nature with the competent instruction of Franziska. She is mostly interested in gardening and nature walks to identify and get to know medicinal plants, dye plants and wild herbs.
During their stay the two friends let their activities be determined by nature, went on long walks, took photos and collected plants. Musical entertainment was provided by Leonores harp. And even if they had planned a lot more for this time, they were satisfied and thankful for their break from everyday life as mothers of four children.
