Art Villa Crete
In the pottery village of Maragarites in Crete, pottery has played a role for over 3,000 years. The local artists themselves obtain their clay from the surrounding area and practice their craft on a grand scale. There are over 20 potteries in the village and some of them also offer courses to teach the craft to visiting artists.
Giorgis Dalamvelas is one of the local potters who host clay artists who want to improve and expand their pottery skills.
The artist villa in Crete offers two guest rooms with one and two beds, respectively, and thus can accommodate up to three people at the same time. Most guests come directly to Giorgis through the Erasmus program and then live in the villa. But there are also a few spots that we can fill with applicants to the Landscape and Art Association Rietzer Berg.
