Wlada Kolosowa was born in St. Petersburg and grew up in Germany. She studied journalism in Berlin and creative writing in New York with J. S. Foer and Zadie Smith, among others. She was an editor at ZEIT Campus and Vice. She currently works as an editor at ZEITmagazin ONLINE.

In 2017, she was awarded the prestigious US Pushcart Prize for her short stories. Her first novel "Fliegende Hunde" ("Flying dogs") was published by Ullstein in 2018, and the novel "Der Hausmann" ("The househusband") was selected for the "Berlin Liest Ein Buch" ("Berlin reads a book") campaign in 2023.

She is currently a guest at our artist residence on Rietzer Berg to work on her latest novel.
