Free drawing and painting in nature – course of the adult education center

A course organized through the Kreisvolkshochschule Potsdam-Mittelmark.

Step by step we approach painting in nature first by drawing objects found in the garden. Playfully we begin to paint with acrylic paint, in which we experiment with different creative means and examine their effect. We mix colors, create surfaces, draw lines, form shapes and thus find questions and answers to the resulting image compositions.
We develop individual paintings between object and abstraction, inspired by the effect of the summer environment in the beautiful landscape and art association Rietzer Berg.

The course instructor is the artist Eva Räder. The works of Eva Räder are mostly painted with oil on linen, her motifs change from flowers to figures to landscapes. From sensual and graceful to massive and sometimes crudely painted in distinctive styles and colors, her paintings focus on the multi-layered structures of human beings. Her works have already been shown in numerous exhibitions at home and abroad.
