Ben has been an actor for 25 years and after a long stay in California, he again lives in Germany, in his chosen home Berlin. He spontaneously moved into the Hermitage for two weeks with his dog Gizmo after hearing about us through a fellow actress. Ben arrived without expectations, rather with the hope of good ideas.

Preparing assignments and enjoying experimenting

He used the beginning of his time at the Hermitage to prepare for a musical. In the second half of his stay, he came up with the idea for a short film. The short horror film is even said to be set in the Hermitage. Above all, writing and short films are a kind of exercise for him. He will decide if the film will be released when it is finished. First and foremost, he enjoys trying things out. His main activity remains acting.

Ben let his day here unfold rather than plan it. Meditating, cooking, observing nature and, of course, writing were on his daily schedule. The weather was in his favor. It was rather autumnal, so there was no guilt when he sat inside writing his script. His favorite place was the hammock, but only with a mosquito net, as he points out, and he preferred to watch the sunset in the evening from inside, because of the mosquitoes.
