Jana Wilsky
Practical land art when traveling
Jana has been an artist since childhood. Starting with painting and drawing, she came to land art a few years ago. Because she didn't want to take her painting utensils with her when she traveled, she started painting large pictures in the sand at the French Atlantic Ocean. She only takes her personal rake with her wherever she goes.
Being in the now at Rietzer Berg
She became aware of the Rietzer Berg Landscape Park through a friend. After a visit to the Open Gardens, she decided to apply for a stay at the art hermitage. Without a goal, but with plenty of time to perceive and observe - she found that particularly beautiful. Every moment shaped and molded her, but she was particularly struck by the encounters with animals and the sharpening of her sense of hearing.
Early riser
Jana is an early riser. She starts her day before the sun rises. Opening the door, breathing in the fresh morning air and enjoying a cup of coffee was a routine she had grown fond of here at the hermitage. Afterwards, she would go for a walk, usually in the landscape park, enjoying the light - which was at its most beautiful both in the morning and in the evening. She walked mindfully through the park and the landscape every day, with the inner task of noticing everything that was happening here.
