Gabriele Sehn
Expressive, bright colors and nature themes are the trademark of artist and architect Gabriele Sehn of Frankfurt. In her paintings she doesn't copy nature, but abstracts it and lets the paintings develop in her head. She mostly uses wet-in-wet watercolors and acrylic paint so that the colors react with and blend into each other. That gives the paintings a slightly blurred and therefore atmospheric touch. Gabriele likes to use both paintbrushes as well as Chinese bamboo quills for her paintings.
Accompanied by her dog Marie, she took a step back from everyday life with all those distractions. She brought a lot of books and painting supplies and spend most of her time with herself and her art with some interruptions to explore the area and the city with sightseeing and a city tour.
